OCI to Exhibit at AFCEA "TechNet Land Forces East" Conference in Baltimore

ST. LOUIS, MO - Each year AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) holds several events to provide a forum for the Army and Marine Corps, as well as other land-based security forces, to discuss issues and share ideas for solutions. One of the largest events, TechNet Land Forces East,is being held in Baltimore from August 13-16, 2012.  The focus of the conference is "Cyberspace Operations - Prevent, Shape, Win."  Over 120 defense related groups will be exhibiting.

OCI will be present and exhibiting in Booth 1549 (next to the Cyber Cafe). OCI's expertise in secure real-time middleware for mission critical systems is a natural fit for this audience. OCI will be featuring our open source products that meet the latest requirements of the DOD for open, interoperable architectures that are also known as common operating environments (COE). OCI has rich offerings which include command and control CORBA technology (TAO), our data distribution (DDS) technology known as OpenDDS, and our platform abstraction layer called ACE (ADAPTIVE Communications Environment). This time we will also be discussing our latest SBIR project, one that addresses ways to compress data to minimize bandwidth consumption and, as a side benefit, lowers latency in message transmission. Vast quantities of information are clogging our communications channels and delaying critical decision making.

OCI booth staff will be happy to discuss our standards-based technology portfolio. Stop by to speak with us, and if you can, call us at (314) 590-0206 ahead of time to set up an appointment.
