OCI Contributions Recognized at HIMSS10

Atlanta GA: The Health IT management Systems Society, held its annual conference and exhibition, known as HIMSS10, this week in Atlanta Georgia with 27,000+ health industry professionals in attendance.

OCI was included in the NHIN CONNECT display at HIMSS10

One of the most visited booths was that of CONNECT. This multi-agency sponsored project is leading the way to enabling a Nationwide Health Information Network, by exploring and developing health information exchange (HIE) standards and technologies. OCI has been a long, active and key contributor to its open source code base. The booth featured the work accomplished in the last year and major contributions. OCI's logo was displayed prominently in recognition of OCI's role in ensuring platform neutrality and maintaining an open architecture.

Dr. Moshiri commented that, "OCI was gratified by this recognition but that the real reward comes from improving our health care systems. It touches us all eventually."
