Object Computing Inc. (OCI) selected to provide the US Navy with simulation software

St. Louis Mo. September 9, 2008: the US Navy, (NAVAIR) awarded a phase 1 contract to OCI to adapt its real-time open source software called OpenDDS for use in Navy Hawkeye simulation systems. OCI was selected from amongst 19 submissions to the Navy Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program.

OCI wins US Army FCS Award

Orlando Florida, February 10th: Today the US Army Future Combat Systems (FCS) Program awarded its Small Business of the Year award for 2007 to OCI. The award was presented at a recognition dinner as a part of an FCS supplier diversity meeting held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport hotel. Malcolm Spence, Director of Business Development accepted the award on behalf of the OCI software team developing the FCS infrastructure.
OCI announces release of a Perl ORB

St. Louis Mo. July 9th 2007: OCI announced today that it has released Version 1 of its open source CORBA® product, written entirely in Perl and known as opalORB. The product has been developed to support the users of large scale CORBA® systems, who need the kind of capabilities offered by Perl. Perl is one of the most widely used cross-platform scripting languages and is favored by systems administrators.

St. Louis Mo. July 9th 2007: OCI announced today that it is releasing Version 1 of its open source DDS product now known as OpenDDS. The product has been used in beta mode for over a year and through the investments of OCI and its clients OpenDDS has been enhanced to the point where it is able to join the OCI suite of robust open source middleware products.

OCI Employee wins Netbeans Community Award

Tom Wheeler an OCI software engineer recently was nominated for, and won, the Netbeans Community Award as result of his extensive contributions to the Netbean development community.Tom attended the recent Netbeans Software Day 2006 at the Java One conference held in San Francisco. The event drew over 550 developers.For his efforts Tom was presented a certificate and a Sun Ultra 20 Workstation by James Gosling, the person considered by many to be the father of Java.
