Ebrahim Moshiri, Ph. D. -  has held principal technical and executive management positions in academia and industry within the last twenty five years. He attended the MS program in Environmental Engineering at George Washington University in 1977 and received his Ph.D. in
Atmospheric Science from Portland State University in 1983. His doctoral research was being funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). His contributions in Computer Modeling & Simulation of Atmospheric Dynamics won the National Award, among the three US region competition at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1983. He then joined academia and became tenured professor, chairman, and Director of Computer Science at Portland College & Portland State University till 1988. He then moved to industry and joined McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Information Services (now Boeing) to oversee the application and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to avionics systems in 1988. He served on the editorial board of some of the premier National & International AI societies such as: IAKE, IEEE/AI, and AAAI.

Since 1992, he has founded three successful businesses in St. Louis, MO , and Phoenix, AZ . Currently he serves as CEO and the President of Object Computing, Inc. (OCI/ /) delivering strategic Information Technology solutions to global leaders in Finance , Telecommunications, Healthcare and Aerospace/Defense.

Dr. Moshiri focuses on bringing business value by leveraging technology.  This practical approach of integrating technology and business has led OCI to become one of the most advanced software engineering firm in the country. OCI always maintains a balance between technology and its business merit to ensure its clients realize maximum return on their investment.

Currently, he is involved in defining a vision and developing an implementation roadmap for the State of Missouri Health Information Exchange (HIE).  OCI can leverage its deep experience in the Government DoD, Telecommunications, and Financial sectors to create HIE infrastructure as a non-proprietary open system.  The goals of HIE are to broaden access, improve security, enhance interoperability, and significantly lower operating costs.  "I am passionate about making healthcare available, accessible, and affordable to all citizens."

Dr. Moshiri is happily married to his college sweet heart and together they are blessed with two lovely daughters who live in St. Louis.  He actively participates on several private and not-for-profit boards.  His hobbies include reading, biking, and racquetball.
