Dean Wette

Dean Wette joined Object Computing, Inc. (OCI ) in 1999 and has been a Partner since 2007. He holds a B.A. cum laude in Music and History from Webster University and has pursued graduate level studies in Musicology & Medieval/Renaissance Studies at Washington University in St. Louis and in Computer Science at University of Missouri-Rolla.

Since joining OCI , he has consulted to the financial, insurance, and aerospace industries where he works on object-oriented technology and architecture, with an emphasis on Java and XML-based solutions.  Previously he worked in the civil service sector supporting community/business development and public utilities.  For the last six years his focus has been the commercial and military aerospace industries, where he has worked on building and leading a team of software engineers developing tools for structures and loads analysis. In that time this team has produced high quality products resulting in numerous awards, considerable increases in customers and customer satisfaction, and multiple patents pending.

Mr. Wette also plays a role in the development and ongoing support of OCI 's training business. He currently sits on the OCI Curriculum Committee as the Java Curriculum Track lead, and developed and teaches several Java training classes. He has also presented on numerous Java topics.
and XML topics at the Gateway Software Symposium (No Fluff Just Stuff series), St. Louis Java User Group (JUG) and XML SIG, the University of Missouri-Rolla Computer Science Colloquia Series, and other private and public venues.

Mr. Wette is married with no children and lives with his wife in University City.  They are both motorsports enthusiasts and travel annually to the 12 Hours of Sebring as well as other sports car races.  He also enjoys driving his own car in performance race track events, shooting motorsports photography, home theater, and gadgets in general.
